Barbara will be speaking on her motivational topic “Zap Negativity and Ignite your life and your results.” Barbara will share her unique insight into the power of positivity.
In business, the rules of fair play are constantly changing, leaving many teams feeling drained. Negativity can creep in, creating a trap that is easy to get caught in. Barbara will guide you out of that trap and show you proven techniques to create a rewarding and positive work environment.
Since 1986, Family Health Centers of San Diego has hosted the “Spirit of the Barrio” luncheon to increase awareness about its organization and its vital role in the San Diego community. In addition, the event raises critical funding for its programs and services by bringing together local businesses, community leaders and private citizens for networking, education, entertainment and community building.
This event raises awareness in the community about the mission of Family Health Centers of San Diego. The dedicated staff is committed to providing caring, affordable, high-quality healthcare and supportive services to everyone, with a special commitment to uninsured, low income and medically underserved persons. The fulfillment of this mission is not possible without the generous support of all who attend.
Hundreds of supporters, including prominent corporate, political and community leaders, attend each event to enjoy the famous tamale lunch and to be inspired by notable speakers.
The Spirit of the Barrio luncheon is held at Logan Heights Family Health Center, where Family Health Centers of San Diego was founded in 1970.
