Many of us found 2020 to be a turbulent year—a year in which many of us saw, felt, and experienced circumstances that were out of our control. Its end marks an opportunity to strive for a kinder and gentler world, two aspects of ourselves that we can control. Let’s transition into 2021 with hope and anticipation for the very best in others and us. And may 2020 be a year we remember with gratitude for our blessings and with appreciation for the found memories and hidden lessons learned from our setbacks and disappointments—and yes, even from our loss and grief.

As we move toward a new beginning, may we continue with an “attitude of service” toward one another. And may we all resolve to be kinder and gentler in 2021. Let us uplift others, and let us begin by putting joy in our hearts!
