The Bratitude is different than the Baditude in that they are more than just negative. They are down right mean. They cut you down in front of others, and are mean and sarcastic.
Solution: If you absolutely have to confront a Bratitude, specifically focus on what they did – not them as a human being. For example, do not say “This morning when you were mean to me…” This is too vague and they are very likely to get defensive. They may even reply with “Well, you were the one that was mean.”
A better approach would be to say “This morning at 8:30 when you shoved me down the stairwell…” Ah, now that’s specific. There are 2 benefits to that approach. First, they are less likely to get defensive. Second, they are less likely to deny it because you gave the specific dates, times and/or quotations.
Tude Tip: When confronting someone with a Bratitude, focus on the facts – just the facts. That’s it.
